Vibrant chiptune melodies in Metal Case Mental Case by Vidboy

Eclectic chiptune compositions.

Quality chiptune album from 2013 that I failed to post about.

This album is a love letter to old video game and computer sounds. Beep boop.

Hip Hop instrumental album 'Killa Zelda (Deku Tree)' by JDSY

Deep inside the Deku Tree

Avant-garde, Legend of Zelda inspired hip hop beats. Not for the faint of heart, or a few hearts, as the case may be. Vibrant melodies with just a hint of the nostalgic tones of classic Nintendo 64 title Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time.

composed over the course of 2 years... Deku Tree samples ‘Zelda - Ocarina of Time’ n64 soundtrack and composed on MPC2000xl... fourth ambient piece recorded analouge, summer 2010 in Portland OR... Originally packed on CD late spring of 2011 for a japan benefit concert limited to 6 copies

Listen to half hour drum & chiptune medley 10-2A by c&sstockreports

Shawn Phase lays it down with a half hour of intense drum work, remixing tracks from Coda, Blitz Lunar, and more! An epic, swirling soundscape of various original chiptune sounds. There is nothing like the pure sound of chiptunes with the irreplaceable sound of live drums.
all original tunes in this A side…

Lo-fi chiptune pop album Mighty Social Lion by The J. Arthur Keenes Band

As mysterious as ever

Been a long time since I had a chance to mention J. Arthur Keenes Band. Seems I failed to mention the lo-fi pop of Mighty Social Lion from 2013. That is now rectified. Jam to this vibrant album of live and electronic sounds and soothing vocals.

Chiptune rock video game remixes by Zebes System in Music System 2

There is rock, there are strings, there is chiptunery. This album has everything. Allow Zebes System to install Music System 2 and hear sweeping arrangements of generations of video game music, including one of the best Moon Patrol covers I have ever rocked out to.

Pastoral II, 2a03-based shoegaze from Brother Android

Cactus inspired chiptunes.

Can it really be called shoegaze? Maybe consolegaze? Either way, there is something very beautiful in the dissonant, ever driving soundscape that Brother Android provides in their latest album, Pastoral II.

Been a while since I got to relax to some vibrant chiptune chillwave, and plan to have this short but sincere album on constant rotation until the weather actually cools down here in my desert home.

Second in a series of imaginary 7” records. Five summery wintery landlocked surf songs about Texas plants great & small.

Thanks to all desert flora, whose perseverance will, we are confident, be rewarded on the last day

Check out the debut, self-titled chiptune rock album by Marshall Art

One of those albums you hate yourself for not posting when it dropped.

I love the shizz, and I love all the shizzies and other folks who appear on this far too short album.

This album seriously has everything, even SPAMTRON!

Review definitely incoming, been a while since I had some time alone with a brilliant chiptune album.

Marshall Art is a transatlantic band made up of Jeffrey Roberts from Canada and Mikhail Ivanov from Russia. Combining the cold structural beauty of NES chiptunes and the hot energy of live guitar, they play instrumental music influenced by post-rock, progressive rock, ambient and various electronic genres.

Papercut You Into Little Pieces (05:21)

Asteroid Driller (06:11)

They’re Like Locusts (feat. spamtron) (05:52)

Nothing Can Be Fixed Here. God, Burn! (05:42)

Marshall Art (19:19)

All songs by Jeffrey Roberts / Mikhail Ivanov.
Except “They’re Like Locusts” by Jeffrey Roberts / Mikhail Ivanov / Guerin McMurry.

Additional vocals on “Marshall Art” by Cory Johnson, Cydran, C-jeff, destoo, Erik Peabody (Viking Guitar), GearX2, Harmsing, Hoodie, Janx, John Schock, Katamari, Level 99, Mama Ryn, Masha Zalivanskaya, Monte, Multi-Memory Controller, norg, Ryn, Travis Morgan, ViridianForge and zyko.

Chiptune album The Mega Hyper Super Ultra Album Deluxe from hardwired

hardwired-mega-hyper-super-ultra-album-deluxe

An EP full of glitchy, hard thumping, piledriver chiptunes befitting of the name Mega Hyper Super Ultra Album Deluxe.

Five hard hitting, mildly threatening drum and bass to get you moving, all culminating in my favorite track, the spiralling chiptune madness of Violet Monster.

Name your price to download the album now on bandcamp.
