So I was all set to post about “Johto Legends (Music from "Pokémon Gold and Silver") by Braxton Burks” but when I went to his bandcamp page to get the requisite album info, he had already released another album. Curious, I said to myself. And, oh man, oh wow. Burks has five albums, all of various length, and all in tribute to the music of Pokemon. Each of these five albums has been released THIS YEAR. All back in the month of January.Read More
About two dozen musicians have come together to pay tribute to the classic N64 (and Nintendo DS) game Diddy Kong Racing. More specifically, we get an electric dance party of a tribute to Diddy Kong Racing. Is this a bad time to say I don't like Diddy Kong Racing?Read More

Sorry it took me so long to review this album, but I had to listen to it first! I grew a beard in that time. Okay, sorry. This is a legitimately grandiose album that is well worth sitting down and listening through 100 incredible and loving tributes to the PS2 classic Final Fantasy X.Read More
This awesome little album took me by surprise. I call it little, even though it's 14 tracks filled with Donkey Kong Country inspired EDM. Then again, they called it an EP, and called it the Dank EP. The music is great though. Many familiar names on this compilation, including RoBKTA, Glenntai, RoboRob, and more. That RoBKTA track bumps so hard I even had to play it on an episode of the SUBCON podcast. Can't go wrong with Donkey Kong. The fact that it rhymes, proves it's true.Read More
An enticing trip through the sounds of Skyrim thanks to Rozen and the Materia Collective. Such perfect Winter music. This is the type of album I have to keep in my back pocket for when the desert heat rises to temperatures so high that the only respite is trying to think as cold as possible.
