Another report of video game rock based on the music of Alex Mauer in 11-6-16 pt2 from c&sstockreports

It's another Temp Sound Soutions Tuesday, and you know what that means! Temp Sound Solutions, Tuesday!

More incredible sounds from the mind of Shawn Phase of c&sstockreports with a new list of all the tracks he deems worthy of inclusion. For 11-6-16 it's a tribute to the endearing chiptune compositions of Alex Mauer. I love the music of Shawn Phase, clearly, but I am also a sucker for the incredible works of Alex Mauer. Combined though, they upgrade their forms like a musical Voltron.

The original Now Youre Playing With Powar by temp sound solutions, available now

It's the one that started it all! Remastered and available on bandcamp! The track mappyland is just a wonderful assault of beautiful sound that feels good to my ears.

released in december of 2002, this album laid the groundwork for the NYPWP series, with thousands of video game covers to come. 4 bonus tracks are included in download. this is AFX 63.

t's a good thing I post about New Temp Sound Solutions / Shawn Phase once a month now, because that almost (but not quite) matches his musical output. I began temp sound solution Tuesdays in the apparently futile attempt to dig into the very, very extensive backlog of TSS albums I have never written about, or in some cases, even heard yet.

Capcom chiptune rock megamix '6-5-16 pt2' by c&sstockreports

This year, I have decided that the final Tuesday of the month on here will now be known as "Temp Sound Solutions Tuesday!"

This means I'll be talking about at least one temp sound solutions article every month. Near the end of every month I will highlight a classic tss album from his extensive back catalogue, or discuss the sure to be incredible new tunes shawn phase unleashes in 2017.

This month we are playing catch up by talking about a 2016 release from c&sstockreports. Each c&sstockreports album features about twenty solid minutes of hard hitting drum work and incredible renditions of just some of whatever ridiculous amount of tracks Shawn Phase has nailed since the last album.

6-5B features tons of Capcom classics, all getting the shawn phase treatment with over 20 minutes of intense drum work that will power you through even the toughest trials and most trying moments. Make sure you grab the high quality version from the c&sstockreports Bandcamp page for only $4!

MC Larny releases B-sides of video game remixes in 'Project Nightmare: Lost Levels II'

I'm still working on the enormous backlog of music by MC Larny since discovering his work in early 2013, which can be difficult when the hits just keep coming. Take the new album Project Nightmare: Lost Levels II, what might appear to be forgotten and thrown away tracks have a true vibrancy to them. Perhaps it's the phenomenal and ever present drum work, or the glitched out incursions bleeding over the edges of this collection. Likely, much of it may be due to the funked up remix of Sonic Spinball that I like to imagine I played a part in.

Hex.a.decimal, retro game rock debut by Megalixir

Returning for the first time.

So I am going to try this again. The last time I covered Megalixir, the article was borked before it even went live. Basically, I've already reviewed Megalixir's debut album, but here I am again, apparently. Megalixir has saw fit to upload a new debut album featuring more retrogaming arrangements in that signature drum/guitar style.

Perhaps if enough folks dig his tunes, they'll remain online, and if we are really lucky, how about reuploading that Kirby's Avalanche remix somewhere? I could use a theme song to my latest Let's Play series.

Hex.a.decimel is a collection of pieces inspired by video game themes. It captures the identity of the source material and articulates our collective translation.

Rukunetsu's Splatoon inspired album of retro remixes BERING C - RETRO DIVE DAYS

Dive in.

Don't you love that feeling, when you head over to check out the latest from an artist, and they have someonething even newer than that on their site? I barely covered Rukunetsu's PSX tribute EKI' 95, and here I am again talking about this Splatoon influenced tribute to classic Nintendo games.

The drums on this album!

Tracks from the for-fun would be underground Inkopolis band, Bering C. Remixes from a few old Nintedo games, and even an original thrown in there for good measure.

MC Larny - Project Nightmare: Pink Monday album release

MC Larny with a Monday you can look forward to. Electorized, glitched, and dubbed  is how Kirby gets on Pink Monday. MC Larny brings crashing drums and heavy mixes to the table in his most recent Project Nightmare release.

Expect me to talk quite a bit about MC Larny, since he has an unbelievable wealth of albums. I have begun to check them out, and all great so far. All great.
