JamSpace, OCReMix, concerts and more at Otakon in Baltimore, MD July 17th-19th

So Right after Nerdapalooza (Don't worry, I am working on that lengthy post) comes Otakon! and Dom (of MAGFest fame, and of course, brilliant musician, and host of Dom's Live Videogame Music Show) has informed me that Otakon (otakon.com) is the place to be for VGM lovers such as you and I.

For those in the Baltimore, Maryland area, you can look forward to the ever amazing JamSpace, which is an incredible all day room filled with instruments for any and all musicians to take a crack at. This once experiment of MAGFest is now a beloved tradition and host to some amazing moments in VG inspired music history. Amazing sets, insane collaborations, and hilarious jam sessions all take place in what is the ever incredible JamSpace.

On top of this there is also word that there will be an OCReMix discussion panel going on at 6 PM on the Saturday of the event. Should be filled with some amazing talent, and very interesting discussion about vgm and the ocremix community. And what about the concerts!? Oh man, are there some concerts! Friday night, starting at 5 PM, Otakon is host to the incredible Random AKA Mega Ran. Not to mention the ever hard rocking and experimental This Place is Haunted (who have some new songs from their upcoming album available to listen to by the way)! The insanity doesn't stop there though, as Baltimore locals Armadillo Tank and Dom's band Rare Candy storm the stage Saturday at 1:30 PM and 3 PM respectively.

If that isn't enough to satiate your thirst for awesome VGM shenanigans than you are simply impossible to please. Definitely check out the show, and say hi to Dom as well for organizing JamSpace and generally kicking ass!

MAGFest music director and musician Dominic Cerquetti featured in LittleBigPlanet blog

Amazing musician, MAGFest music director, and constant supporter of everything video game music (including this here site), Dominic Cerquetti, or the more friendly Dom as he is known around these parts, was recently featured in the Media Molecule blog. The blog for the creators of the PS3 game LittleBigPlanet. He was featured in one of their blog posts thanks to Dom's awesome keyboard work on a track from LittleBigPlanet. You can watch the impressive video below, and if you dig it be sure to check out Dom's Live Videogame Music Show every other Tuesday, in where he takes live requests for any and all video game songs!

Entertainment System show tonight at Sidebar Tavern!

This is an important show for the always awesome, and forever rocking Entertainment System. Here they are to explain just why.

This show marks the final performance with 2 long time members of ES, both Matt the Dong and Jeff the Hammer who will be leaving the band after this performance. I'm sure the show will be an epic one no doubt! So head out if you are anywhere near Baltimore, Maryland for the show! Check out Entertainment System's myspace page for full details. Also, if you can't make it out, Listen in to Dom's Live Videogame Music Show, because he will be trying his damnedest to report live from the show at 9PM EST/ 6PM PST!

We at GM4A also wish Matt and Jeff the best of luck in their future endeavors, and know they will forever rock! Don't become strangers to the VGIM community, because we'll all love you guys forever!

Dom's Live Videogame Music Show - Tonight at 10:00 PM EST

Yes, that's right. awesome new pal Dom is hosting his webradio show, which I just heard about this week from Spamtron. It's called Dom's Live Videogame Music Show and features not just some music, but Dom actually takes live VG music requests and plays them on his keyboard right on the air! The show airs every Tuesday at 10 PM EST (7 PM PST). It's a great show with a lot of intereaction and great music. Definitely set your clocks to tune in every week!

Also, this week is special for us at Game Music 4 All as well, because this show will be the premiere episode of Leo (of Push Start fame) and I's new podcast Wig Out! We aren't 100% sure where we are taking this podcast yet, but we are going to use at least piece of it for Dom's show as often as possible and as often as he'd like us to do so!

So be sure to check out his website, and grab the playlist to listen to the awesome show!
